Focusing on 'Nanotechnology for sustainable economy', EuroNanoForum 2009 will address the contribution and challenges of nanotechnology research for sustainable development in European industry and society. This includes areas such as the need for reductions in carbon emissions and fossil fuels dependence, the substantial increase in energy demand, pollution control, clean water management and a sustainable quality of life of the European citizen, as well as material production sustainability and efficiency.
In addition to different sessions, thematic workshops, and a poster exhibition with an award attribution, an industrial exhibition will highlight the latest in the implementation of nanotechnology and industrial products.
The information initiative 'nanoTruck - High tech from the nano cosmos' of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will present the basic principles, applications and perspectives of nanotechnology and invite people to take part in the dialogue.For further information, please visit:
