The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) is organising a conference dedicated to the question 'Can creativity be measured?' on 28 and 29 May in Brussels, Belgium.

The conference will feature presentations of initiatives from the European Commission on measuring the different aspects related to creativity. In addition, it will bring high-level experts to explore measures of creativity on the societal and individual levels.

At the societal level, there has been an increasing amount of literature proposing sets of indicators to measure different aspects of creativity and innovation. At the individual level, creativity research has in the last 50 years developed different tools for the measurement of the construct.

The event is part of the activities organised in the framework of the 2009 European Year of Creativity and Innovation.For further information, please visit:
