The Sixth Framework Programme (FP6)-funded KATARSIS project is holding a conference on 'Social innovation in Europe: research and practice' in Vienna, Austria, on 14 and 15 May.

The programme consists of plenary and working group sessions. Topics on the agenda include:
- holistic perspectives on social exclusion/inclusion;
- grass roots creativity, governance and social innovation;
- pedagogy of the economic crisis;
- methodological challenges and opportunities in social science research;
- action research.

The event will also examine the results of the KATARSIS ('Growing inequality and social innovation: alternative knowledge and practice in overcoming social exclusion in Europe') project, and where its conclusions may go in the future.For further information, please visit:
