Symposium on particle emissions of 2-stroke scooters, Milan, Italy

A symposium on particle emissions of 2-stroke scooters will be held on 11 and 12 June in Milan, Italy.

This symposium will provide extensive information about the emissions of 2-stroke engine scooters and the possibilities for emissions reduction. The newest results on (nano) particles research, toxicity, manufacturer developments and alternative powertrains will be presented by experts on these subjects.

In more detail, key discussion topics include:
- legislation and inventories (emissions and noise) regulations, in-use-inspection, conformity of production, comparisons of 2-strokes and 4-strokes;
- research and reduction of emissions (lube oils and fuels);
- carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and fuel consumption;
- toxicity and health effects;
- OEM (original equipment manufacturer) developments;
- alternative powertrains (electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles).
