The EU-funded IDEA project is organising its final conference 'Mediterranean and eastern European countries as new immigration destinations in the European Union' from 3 to 5 June in Cracow, Poland.

The conference will summarise two-and-a-half years of research carried out by the Polish Centre of Migration Research in collaboration with ten other European academic institutions from Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Portugal and Spain. European migration experts will gather in Cracow to discuss immigration experiences from the point of view of European countries, challenges, and the issue of a new and flexible migration policy.

The IDEA project studied the phenomenon of migration transformation in Europe by comparing immigration experiences of three country groups - Western European, Mediterranean and Central-Eastern countries.For further information, please visit:
