The international conference Aquaculture Europe 2009 is scheduled for the period of 14 to 17 August in Trondheim, Norway.
Research has been crucial to the development of aquaculture over the last three decades, and Europe has been a leader. European research has focused primarily on the validation of new species production; breeding, nutrition and health management. As aquaculture continues to develop, though, research will undergo fundamental change. Current technologies have potentially reached their limits and require re-thinking.
