The EU-funded PICO ('Academic entrepreneurship from knowledge creation to knowledge diffusion') project is organising its final workshop on 23 June in Paris, France.
The PICO project focused on research-based spin-offs (RBSOs). The project's goal was to understand the conditions under which RBSOs effectively contribute to the generation of new knowledge, technologies, products, services and processes and their dissemination in the ecology in which they are embedded.
The workshop will address the following issues:
- session 1: what factors lead to knowledge production and transformation function in the performance of an RBSO and what the influence of (technology) commercialisation strategy is;
- session 2: the relationship between the entrepreneurial strategy of RBSOs and their growth;
- session 3: what RBSOs can bring to their partners;
- session 4: what RBSOs sold in a trade sale can bring to their acquiring firm.For further information, please click:
