MICROCON annual workshop, Berlin, Germany
The first day will be an internal workshop devoted to discussion of research results to date, and how to integrate findings from the different parts of the programme. The second day will be a policy training day.
The policy training day will consist of a number of sessions that have an objective of promoting debate between researchers and practitioners working in or on development policy in conflict and post-conflict situations. There will be an opening address and then two sets of parallel sessions on the following topics:
- 'Individual and group motivations for mobilisation into violence, including gender identities';
- 'Migration, displacement and health';
- 'Poverty and coping - effects of violent conflict at the individual and household levels and strategies for adaptation to violence';
- 'Institution-building during and after violent conflict, including the role of civil society'.For further information, please visit:
