European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) and the European Science Foundation (ESF) will hold a conference entitled 'Systems chemistry II: evolution and systems' from 18 to 23 October in Balatonfüred, Hungary.
Systems theory has laid the conceptual foundations of contemporary approaches. Systems biology is the marriage of these approaches with theoretical advances and databases of bioinformatics. Systems chemistry is a new field dealing with the analysis and synthesis of autocatalytic chemical systems. The roots of biological evolvability also lie within systems chemistry.
The meeting will bring together experts from different fields in order to examine the scope of evolutionary thought and its implications.For further information, please click:
