Conference on chemistry and migration behaviour of actinides and fission products, Kennewick, US
The Migration conferences focus on recent developments in the fundamental chemistry of actinides, fission and activation products in natural aquifer systems, their interactions and migration in the geosphere, and the processes involved in modelling their geochemical behaviour. The information generated from the conference series is the basis for the mechanistic understanding of the migration behaviour of long-lived radionuclides in the geosphere, which is essential for the long-term performance assessment of nuclear waste disposal.
The 2009 edition of the event is co-organised by the Institute for Transuranium Elements (ITU) of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC).For further information, please visit:
