The first European Innovation Summit (EIS) will take place on 13 and 14 October in Brussels, Belgium.
Organised by the Knowledge4Innovation (K4I)/Lisbon Forum at the premises of the European Parliament, the event will provide a unique opportunity for organisations to demonstrate and explain how they contribute to making Europe a global leader in innovation.
The EIS will gather policy makers from the EU Institutions and Member States, representatives of regional organisations and stakeholders from the academic and private sectors with different backgrounds and expertise. The main goal of the event is to raise awareness about the significance of generating and managing innovation in order to sustain Europe's future.
The K4I/Lisbon Forum was launched in the European Parliament in December 2008. It is designed specifically for policy makers and stakeholders from business and science to effectively introduce their respective agendas and address current issues concerning Europe's knowledge-based economy and society.For further information, please visit:
