A conference on higher education, research and innovation entitled 'The knowledge triangle shaping the future of Europe' will be held from 31 August to 2 September in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The importance of a well-functioning knowledge triangle in the form of interaction between education, research and innovation has been emphasised by EU leaders in recent years. Measures to strengthen this triangle play a major role in the process of modernisation that European universities are now engaged in. Such a process not only helps strengthen institutions of higher education, but also makes the business sector more competitive and benefits society in general.
Organised under the auspices of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the conference is intended to contribute to this process by raising the issue of how better coordination can be achieved between the different sides of the knowledge triangle, focusing in particular on the role of education.For further information, please click:
