A conference under the title 'Observing the Dark Universe with Euclid' will take place on 17 and 18 November in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

Euclid is an all-sky space mission designed to map geometry of the Dark Universe. Its primary objectives are the study of dark energy, dark matter, modified gravity and cosmic initial conditions. The mission is optimised for weak gravitational lensing and baryonic acoustic oscillations. It will also provide for other cosmological probes such as galaxy clusters, redshift space distortions and the integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect. A wide survey of the entire extra-galactic sky is planned, along with a deep survey lasting four to five years using both imaging and spectroscopy.

During the conference, the Euclid mission will be presented to the international scientific community.For further information, please visit:
