A conference on the occasion of the World Standards Day will be held on 14 October in Brussels, Belgium.

The event will feature three panel debates on the following themes:
- European standardisation in a changing global context;
- competitive needs vis-à-vis public and societal demands;
- moving towards 2020 and what that means for changes in European standardisation structures and capabilities.

Expected participants are slated to include high-level stakeholders from the standardisation community, including public authorities, those active in the field, industry representatives and non-governmental organisations.

The World Standards Day conference is being organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General Enterprise and Industry with support from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and International Telecommunications Union (ITU).For further information, please click:
