The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) is organising open information days on European standardisation on 27 and 28 October in Brussels, Belgium.

The first day's programme will cover the basics of standardisation under the following headings:
- 'Everything you always wanted to know about standardisation but were afraid to ask';
- 'Standards matter - a bird's eye view on European standardisation';
- 'Why and how to get involved in standardisation';
- 'How to get started... developing a European standard - the process';
- 'What's in it for me?';
- 'Different solutions for different needs! CEN workshop agreements';
- 'Environment and standardisation - how to green standards?'.

On day two, parallel sessions and workshops will delve deeper into the field and address the CEN Keymark, the Vienna Agreement and how legislation and standardisation go together.For further information, please visit:
