The second Dual-use European Security Infrared Element (DESIRE) Workshop will be held on 8 October 2009 in Frascati, Italy.
The event, organised by the European Space Agency (ESA), aims to present and discuss the requirements of potential users of dual-use high spatial and temperature resolution thermal infrared systems (TIR).
The event schedule includes invited speeches that will present user requirements collected in the framework of ongoing ESA projects for scientific, industrial and urban applications. Presentations from the security sector have also been invited.
The first DESIRE workshop was held in Brussels, Belgium from 1 to 2 October 2008, and reviewed the latest in science, applications and operational use of TIR space-borne assets for defence and security.For further information, please visit:
