A conference hosted by the EU-funded RECON ('Reconstituting democracy in Europe') project will take place from 9 to 10 October in Prague, Czech Republic.

The first day of the conference will be devoted to one keynote speech on each of the three RECON theoretical models, as well as one roundtable on each model to allow for more in-depth discussions on the models and on preliminary findings from the project. The broader academic community as well as policy makers, civil society actors and the wider public will be invited to this session.

The second day will be devoted to parallel work package sessions for the discussion of ongoing research, status of work and plans for the remainder of the project. At a concluding plenary session, summaries of the previous parallel sessions will be presented, and general findings and plans ahead will be discussed and drafted.

Vladimír Spidla, EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, will open the conferenceFor further information, please click:
