Conference on 'Geomatics in support of the Common Agricultural Policy', Taormina, Italy

The GeoCAP conference 'Geomatics in support of the Common Agricultural Policy' will take place from 18 to 20 November in Taormina, Italy.

The main purpose of the conference is to offer an opportunity for Member State administrations, EU officials, image providers and contractors to meet and discuss particular problems or innovations related to the field.

Topics to be covered include:
- controls with remote sensing (CwRS);
- land parcel identification systems (LPIS) management and quality assessment;
- global positioning system (GPS) technologies in support of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) controls;
- eligibility for direct supports;
