The SciTech Europe 09 conference will be held on 11 and 12 November in Brussels, Belgium.
A combination of keynote speeches, presentations, panel debates and other sessions will address the following topics:
- 'High-tech research - importance and challenges for policy making';
- 'Collaborative European research';
- 'International knowledge dissemination and technology-based innovations';
- 'Making science investments with greater confidence';
- 'The role of the European Research Area';
- 'How can we create the conditions to allow science and technology to flourish?'
A series of master classes will run throughout the day on 12 November. Participants will have the opportunity to pick the subject area that is most relevant to their job and organisation. It will also be possible to attend sessions in different topic areas. These areas include: research and investment, future technologies, environment and energy, and health.
Speakers included representatives of the European Commission, the European Research Area Board (ERAB), the European Research Council (ERC), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and other organisations.For further information, please visit:
