A conference on 'Jak-Stat signalling: from basics to disease' will take place from 10 to 13 February 2010 in Vienna, Austria.

Janus kinases (Jaks) signal transducers and activators of transcription (Stats) form a unique, fast track for signal transduction from cell surface receptors to target genes. Jak-Stat signalling contributes in many ways to the integrity of organisms. Disturbance of this signalling avenue is causally linked to a multitude of metabolic and inflammatory disorders and to cancer.

The conference intends to strengthen an interdisciplinary network, which will improve the growing importance of Jak-Stat signalling in biomedical research.For further information, please visit:
