Stakeholder conference on climate change adaptation and mitigation, Bogor, Indonesia

The EU-funded SEA-EU-NET ('Facilitating the bi-regional EU-ASEAN science and technology dialog') project is organising a stakeholder conference on 'Climate change adaptation and mitigation - strengthening South East Asia -EU science and technology cooperation to find common solutions' on 11 and 12 November on Bogor, Indonesia.

The conference will bring together policy makers and researchers from Europe and South East Asia (SEA) to further strengthen bi-regional science and technology (S&T) cooperation.

The conference will cover a broad range of topics relevant to cooperation and will include:
- supporting mechanisms for international cooperation (including national contact point networks and scholarships);
- analytical input from recent workshops, the mapping of research institutions in SEA and the result of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) innovation study;
- a workshop on 'Solutions for better SEA-EU Cooperation' focusing upon identifying both short and long term policy recommendations;
