A workshop on 'Self-service terminals and assistive technologies' will be held in Brussels, Belgium on 7 December 2009.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide information on upcoming calls for proposals of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) in the area of self-service terminals and assistive technologies. The event will also aim to identify grounds for further action at the European level with support from the European Commission.
Self-service terminals, such as bank machines, train station kiosks or check-in terminals at airports are increasingly used for the delivery of basic services in daily life. However, they can be difficult to access and use for many people.
