The BRIDGE-BSR Roundtable will take place in Gdansk, Poland on 9 March 2010.

The BRIDGE-BSR Roundtable is a dialogue between regional decision and opinion makers and the ScanBalt BioRegion Community. It aims to implement recommendations from the BRIDGE-BSR Innovation Agenda and promote the EU Baltic Sea Health Region.

BRIDGE-BSR ('Bridging life science research and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Baltic Sea region putting cluster policies into practise for the benefit of SMEs') is an EU Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) project which aims to strengthen collaboration between academia and small and medium-sized enterprises in the Baltic region. An overarching objective is to promote enhanced coordination between EU Framework Programmes, EU structural and cohesion funds, EU innovation programmes and national and regional public and private financing.

The EU Commission adopted the 'EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region' on 29 October 2009, together with a detailed action plan. The plan specifically indicates a flagship project for the development of the Baltic Sea region into a globally leading and prosperous 'Health Region' using the ScanBalt BioRegion as a model. For further information, please visit:
