A conference on 'Aircraft powerline communication' will be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on 25 March 2010.

At the event, the TAUPE ('Transmission in aircraft on unique path wires') project consortium will present its work in order to increase public awareness of the project, its objectives, industry stake in the project and current results.

TAUPE is funded by the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). The project aims to simplify the electrical architectures of aircraft and reduce the length and mass of installed cables. This would be done by introducing powerline communication (PLC) technology inside aircraft, supplying power and data via the same cable.
