The Third Information Retrieval Facility Symposium, Vienna, Austria
Under the motto 'benchmarking relevance', the event will focus on patent searching and retrieval methods and evaluation. It will also offer delegates the opportunity to discover and test prototypical versions of innovative technologies.
One of the chief aims of the event is to foster dialogue between science and industry and in so doing align research activities with the real needs of end-users. The symposium will present results and potential solutions of various research projects, and provide a platform for new research projects in the field of patent information retrieval.
Potential attendees include intellectual property (IP) and information specialists, consultancies and professional service firms, patent lawyers, governmental and non-governmental organisations, as well as researchers in the fields of information retrieval, semantic web technologies, natural language processing or large-scale and distributed computing.
