The Annual International Sherwood Fusion Theory Conference will be held this year in Seattle, US, from 30 March to 2 April 2010.

The event will centre on the latest theoretical results in basic high temperature plasma physics and their application to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) programme.

Topics covered by the event will include:
- plasma equilibrium, stability and transport;
- physics of the plasma edge and divertor region;
- plasma production and heating;
- computer simulations of plasmas.

Presenters and participants will have the opportunity to discuss recent advances in one of the most ambitious programmes on controlled thermonuclear fusion, aiming to develop an environmentally benign and largely inexhaustible source of energy for the future.

Students can seize the opportunity to present their research and six awards will be handed out for the best graduate student presentations.For further information, please visit:
