Congress on 'Strategies for innovation and competitiveness in Europe', Stuttgart, Germany

A congress on 'Strategies for innovation and competitiveness in Europe' will be held in Stuttgart, Germany on 14 April 2010.

Innovation is a driving factor for creating a competitive European Union. This one-day event will provide an overview of the knowledge transfer from research to enterprises and the transfer of innovation within different European regions.

Four workshops have also been organised. These are:
- innovation and its regional diffusion,
- innovation and knowledge transfer with practical examples from the 'Small Business Act' and the 'Lead Market Initiative',
- innovation and its networks, diversity and women in enterprises and research,
- innovation and new markets exemplified by the lead market 'sustainable constructions'.

An exhibition area of best practices, institutions working in the field of innovation transfer and related EU programmes will also be on display.
