Symposium on targeted cancer therapy, Heidelberg, Germany
The event will be held within the framework of a new partnership between the German Cancer Research Institute and private industry. It will bring together basic and clinical researchers, who will present recent research findings relevant to the identification of novel targets or the development of novel therapeutic strategies. Session and keynote speech topics are set to include:
- 'Signaling via receptors for possible targets in tumour therapy',
- 'Targeting the kinase pathway in cancer',
- 'Chromatin modulation',
- 'Anti-angiogenesis',
- 'Signal transduction'.
The new partnership was set up due to the fact that currently available targeted cancer therapy is limited and the development of novel treatment options is slow.
Discussions will also focus on the future of targeted cancer therapies. Scientific and clinical aspects will be reviewed in the context of anti-angiogenesis, signal transduction and chromatin modulation.For further information, please visit:
