Information day on the Clean Sky Joint Technology Initiative, Turin, Italy
The aim of the event is to show the content of the next Clean Sky call that will be published on 30 April 2010. Information will be provided on how to draft a successful proposal, on the evaluation process and on administrative and contractual issues. Individual topics under the Clean Sky JTI will include: - 'Green Regional Aircraft',
- 'Systems for Green Operations',
- 'Smart Fixed Wings',
- 'Sustainable and Green Engines',
- 'Eco Design',
- 'Green Rotorcraft'.
The Clean Sky JTI is one of the largest European research projects ever, with a budget equally shared between the European Commission and industry over the period 2008 - 2013.
Speeding up new, greener design is essential to protecting the environment. This is specially true for aircraft, which have a 30-year service life, and take up to a decade to design. The accelerated research process that Clean Sky offers represents an opportunity for accelerated progress in the introduction of green technology into aviation.For further information, please visit:
