The Third International Conference on Managing Knowledge for Space Missions will be held from 21 to 23 June 2010 in Darmstadt, Germany.

While this will be the third edition of the conference, this is the first time that it will take place in Europe. The main purpose of the event is to give stakeholders an opportunity to present and discuss their space-related knowledge management programmes and projects.

Aerospace companies and space agencies are making use of a large variety of methods to capture, store, organise, and distribute key knowledge from their experts and missions. These methods involve different processes, people, and technologies.

The focus of the conference is on how the different organizations have organized knowledge management internally, and also the processes they are using. The event also aims to highlight new technology applications and promoting collaboration across international entities in the field of knowledge capture, sharing and preservation.

While conference's focus is on knowledge management in the aerospace community, conference findings and recommendations could be also relevant to different sectors.
