The Fifth South East European Doctoral Student Conference (SEERC) will take place on 13 and 14 September 2010 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

This edition of the event builds on the success of previous conferences, each attracting more than 100 papers from countries all over the southeast European region and beyond.

The aim of the event is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between young researchers and to consolidate the established network of scholars currently undertaking research in and around the topic of southeast Europe. SEERC is also looking to establish and reinforce collaborative links between disciplines, laying the ground for innovative ideas and helping to engage the wider academic community.

The conference is open to young researchers currently undertaking doctoral studies or in their early post-doc career (up to two years after their PhD). It has an interdisciplinary focus and the themes and topics reflect the organisation of research by tracks of interest.For further information, please visit:
