International workshop on human behaviour understanding, Istanbul, Turkey
Domains where understanding human behaviour is a crucial need include human-computer interaction, affective computing and social signal processing. They rely on advanced techniques to automatically interpret complex behavioural patterns which are generated when humans interact with machines.
This is a challenging area where many issues are still open, including the joint modelling of behavioural cues taking place at different time scales, the inherent uncertainty of detecting human behaviour by machines, the mutual influence of people involved in interactions, the presence of long term dependencies in observations extracted from human behaviour, and the important role of dynamics in human behaviour understanding.
The event programme includes four planned sessions:
- 'Analysis of human activities',
- 'Non-verbal action dynamics',
- 'Visual action recognition',
- 'Social signals'.
Each of the sessions is further divided into three speeches. There will also be a keynote speech on 'Recognising human action in the wild'.For further information on registration, please visit:
