The preimplantation genetic diagnosis: a celebration of 20 years, will held in Rome, Italy on 1 July 2010.
This workshop covers all the aspects of preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). The programme is divided into three sessions: the past, the present, and the future of PGD. The workshop will focus on the lab perspective, genetic and reproductive counselling, as well as the patient perspective.
The workshop will also provide a historical overview of PGD, differing ethical views involved, and a follow-up of PGD babies. Genetic counsellors, molecular biologists, cytogeneticists, physicians, nurses, embryologists, patient advocacy groups and patients themselves are expected to attend.For further information, please visit:
