'Intangible assets and regional economic growth' project final conference, Brussels, Belgium
The project has analysed the role of intangible assets (IA) in the generation of innovation, competitiveness and economic growth at the regional level. New indicators have been developed which improve the measurement of the most influential IA. These include such factors as human capital, researcher mobility, entrepreneurship and human networks. The resulting analyses show how intellectual assets and their interaction define the environment affecting corporate location decisions. They also measure the role of regional externalities in the generation of IA and in determining local economic performance in Europe.
The conference will be an opportunity to discuss the new knowledge which was created during the project and what still remains to be done for future research.
