Fourth International Workshop on Business Intelligence for the Real Time Enterprise, Singapore
The analysis of data in order to understand business performance and forecast future trends has become an integral part of the company operations. However, traditional ways of reporting no longer suffice in a highly competitive and dynamic environment. Users now need applications which can analyse real-time data while providing insight and actionable conclusions.
Although there has been progress in this direction, there is still a long way to go. In particular, the whole lifecycle of business intelligence requires new techniques and methodologies capable of dealing with the new requirements imposed by the new generation of business intelligence applications.
From the capturing of real-time business data to the transformation and delivery of actionable information, each stage of the business intelligence cycle call for new algorithms and paradigms as the basis of new functionalities. These include the dynamic integration of real-time data feeds from operational sources, optimisation and evolution of ETL transformations and analytical models, and the dynamic generation of adaptive real-time dashboards.
The workshop aims to provide a forum to discuss topics related to this emerging field and set research directions towards making business intelligence more real-time.For further information, please visit:
