The Future leaders of ageing research in Europe (FLARE) showcase event will take place on 4 August 2010 in London, UK.
This event aims to profile the FLARE initiative, its achievements so far, and the role of FLARE 2.
FLARE was the first European post-doctoral programme on ageing research funded by the Member States themselves. It was a unique joint post-doctoral funding initiative between participating countries in the European Research Area in Ageing and it funded 18 fellowships. FLARE 2 will follow on from its success.
The programme will include presentations by FLARE Fellows. Attendees will have the opportunity to see the initiative's research projects displayed in poster form and hear about the work first-hand.
The FLARE 2 programme has three-year post-doctoral research fellowships comprising a main project and mobility. This second part must be spent in another European country and with a research group in a new discipline.For further information, please click:
