The 17th Euro Message Passing Interface (MPI) Conference will take place in Stuttgart, Germany from 12 to 15 September 2010.

MPI (Message Passing Interface) is a language-independent communications protocol used to programme parallel computers. It has evolved into the standard interfaces for high-performance parallel programming in the message-passing paradigm.

The event will focus on the latest developments and uses of MPI, including support tools, MPI implementation, and applications using these interfaces. Individual topics are set to include:
- MPI implementation issues and improvements,
- latest extensions to MPI,
- MPI for high-performance computing, clusters and grid environments,
- new message-passing and hybrid parallel programming paradigms,
- interaction between message-passing software and hardware,
- fault tolerance in message-passing programmes,
- performance evaluation of MPI applications,
- tools and environments for MPI,
- algorithms using the message-passing paradigm,
- applications in science and engineering based on message-passing.

As in the previous years, a special session will focus on numerical simulation for parallel engineering environments. For further information, please visit:
