The European Ecotourism Conference will take place from 26 to 30 September 2010 in Parnu, Estonia.

Ecotourism has been gaining in popularity in recent years, with increased demand from visitors and tourists who want to travel in ways that have a minimum impact on an area. Part of the thinking is that this better preserves fragile or ecologically sensitive areas for others and the future.

The conference theme is 'Balancing sustainability and profitability,' addressing timely issues and challenges facing the ecotourism community in Europe and around the world. Specific topics set to be covered include:
- ecotourism and biodiversity conservation,
- community-Based Ecotourism in Europe,
- climate-friendly travel strategies and adaptation to climate change,
- ecotourism and certification programmes,
- innovation in ecotourism product development,
- market trends and new rules of ecotourism marketing.
