'Human-robot symbiosis: synergistic creation of human-robot relationships', Taipei, Taiwan
The symbiosis between humans and robots is crucial in the development of robots and their ability to communicate with mankind on a daily basis. There is the distinct possibility that one day mankind and robots will forge friendly relations and even develop bonds based on mutual trust.
But before such relations can be established, a series of questions first need to be examined:
- how do humans feel and behave towards robots?
- what robotic factors influence human reaction?
- what human factors affect interaction with robots?
At the same time, this field should be looked at in an interdisciplinary fashion, including such fields as robotics, computer science, psychology, sociology, pedagogy and brain science.
Speakers at the event will cover unique studies, such as behaviour design of robots, psychological effect of age difference and robot appearance, and the principal of animacy perception from the viewpoint of brain science. The workshop will also include a discussion among presenters and audiences about how a robot should be designed for sustainable cooperation of robots and humans. For further information, please visit:
