Two press conferences organised for the Second European Innovation Summit, 'Tackling the grand challenges - policy meets practice', will be held in Brussels, Belgium on 8 and 12 October 2010.
Journalists are invited to attend the press conferences at the European Parliament's press conference room. The first press conference on 8 October is scheduled at 11.00. The second press conference on 12 October is scheduled at 18.30.
The summit itself takes place from 11 to 14 October 2010 and will address Europe's innovation challenge. The summit will enable stakeholders to discuss the various facets of innovation in different areas including energy efficiency, urban and regional mobility, sustained food security and agriculture, healthy ageing, and sustainable production. The future of copyright in the single market and international innovation cooperation are some of the topics on the agenda.
