The Danish VALUE Relay Centre, PUF, is organizing an event dedicated to the exploitation of research results in the field of virtual reality. It will take place in Aarhus on 21-22 November 1994.

The event will take the form of a VALUE technology transfer day. Its aim is to favour the development and industrial exploitation of technologies, products and know-how stemming from the ESPRIT and BRITE/EURAM RTD programmes in the field of virtual reality and rapid prototyping. The purpose of the event is to increase the knowledge of virtual reality and other new tools and how to apply them to industry, medical business and hospitals.

The following sessions will take place:

- Virtual reality in industry: Presentations by virtual reality centres in Germany and the UK on industrial use;
- Rapid product development: Presentations by leading European companies on their success in this field;
- Rapid prototyping in the medical field and its use in operation planning;
- New computer-aided engineering (CAE), simulation and design tools, and the use of finite element methods (FEMs) in product development.

The results of three Community-funded R&D projects will also be presented .
