'Calabria 2020, to innovate to grow'

A brokerage and workshop event entitled 'Calabria 2020, to innovate to grow' will take place on 14 and 15 December 2010 in Lamezia Terme, Italy.

The two-day event will examine and discuss the European Commission's 'Innovation Union' plan. The plan is part of the Commission's overall EU 2020 strategy to make Europe a smart, sustainable and inclusive society.

The event will discuss:
- how to build tangible and intangible technological platforms;
- how to provide a new agenda in order to improve the cultural, institutional, scientific and business context;
- how to improve conditions and access to finance for research and innovation in the Mediterranean;
- how to ensure that innovative ideas can be turned into products and services that create growth and jobs;
- how to promote the development of innovation and the spread of technology through transfer process.
