The 11th Dutch-Belgian Information Retrieval Workshop will take place on 4 February 2011 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Information retrieval is the practice of searching for documents, information within documents, metadata and information in relational databases and on the internet. While internet search engines are the most visible informal retrieval applications, public and private entities use them for a wide variety of purposes.

The primary aim of the event is to provide an international meeting place where researchers from the domain of information retrieval and related disciplines can exchange information and present innovative research developments. This edition of the annual workshop will put special focus on interaction through on poster presentations and designated time and areas to meet and discuss new ideas. For further information, please visit: http://ilps.science.uva.nl/dir2011/(opens in new window)
