'Water governance meeting the challenges of global change', Obergurgl, Austria
Sustainable management of water resources in times of global change is one of the most pressing challenges of the 21st century. Europe has a strong and growing community of scholars working in the field of water governance and policy. However, the community of scholars working on water resources from a social science perspective is quite fragmented, very diverse and publications are scattered over a wide range of journals.
Conferences and workshops on water have been organized in the law and policy fields for some time, but integrated approaches have been rare. The added value of this conference can be seen in the lack of research on multi-level, transdisciplinary approaches to water governance. For further information, please click: here(opens in new window)
