The Second European Transcultural Nursing Association will be held from 30 June to 1 July 2011 in Limerick, Ireland.

Transcultural health and social care is a particularly important topic and an area of much interest when we consider the effects of globalisation worldwide. The World Migration Report, (2005) highlights that global migration brings with it a wide range of both benefits and challenges for sending and receiving countries.

The central conference theme is 'Let's learn together, let's work together: Challenges and solutions for Transcultural health and social care". Participants will include health and social care professionals with an interest in the area of transcultural health and social care practice, policy, education and research.

Events themes will include:
- transcultural care and multidisciplinary teams,
- globalisation, European mobility and transcultural care,
- innovations in cultural competence in health and social care practice,
