The Eighth Workshop on Positioning, Navigation and Communication will take place on 7 and 8 April 2011 in Dresden, Germany.
Accurate location and tracking information is becoming just as important as communication. Although mobile position-aware systems, combined with modern wireless technologies, are becoming increasingly present in daily like, there are still technological obstacles and challenges.
The workshop will be devoted to recent advances in positioning, navigation and communications, as well the current state-of-the-art in techniques and systems. In addition contributions from major research projects are included in the workshop in order to provide an insight on modern localisation technology in various applications. The event will include discussion on the following topics:
- ranging/positioning;
- navigation;
- localisation-related research and development projects;
- communication and services;
