The 12th International Federation for Information Processing Conference on Virtual Enterprises - 'Adaptation and value-creating collaborative networks' will take place from 17 to 19 October in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Dynamic collaborative organisations are an essential answer to the increasing need to adapt to a constantly changing economic environment. Several collaborative forms are now supported by large research and business practice communities. In turn, they have given rise to the development of research on the topic, which is often referred to as 'collaborative networks'.

Collaborative networks represent a determinant inductor of value creation, not only for business communities, but also for other entities in society. Understanding and modelling the process, assessing, and developing methods and tools to support value creation in collaborative networks is a major research and development challenge requiring a multidisciplinary approach.

The event is the latest in a series, with previous editions having been held in such places as Porto, Portugal, Lugano, Switzerland, Toulouse, France, Poznan, Poland and Thessaloniki, Greece. For further information, please visit: http://www.pro-ve.org/(opens in new window)
