'Education - a lifelong challenge for the brain', Brussels, Belgium
Neuroscience sheds some light on the basis for an individual's learning experiences and how this might present alternative paths for learning. It also presents opportunities to understand brain plasticity, and what that might mean for an ageing brain.
This event will look in detail at explaining, and potentially enhancing, memory, creativity, attention, motivation and other brain processes that are essential for learning.
A related workshop on 'ethical dilemmas in brain research: from stem cells to animals and human beings' will take place on the same day.For further information, please click: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/stoa/events/workshop/20111503/default_en.htm(opens in new window)
