Symposium on 'crisis management and competencies development and challenges in transportation', Athens, Greece.
Crisis management requires collaborative competencies at the individual, team, organisational and inter-organisational levels. In today's globalised environment, effective crisis management initiatives in the transportation industry could help save lives. Despite extensive efforts and resources devoted to perfecting preparations for crisis response, the transformation of 'soft' collaboration management competencies into actionable skills can be overlooked.
The aim of the event will be to present and analyse learning effectiveness and adaptation to recent challenges of crisis response educational practices. In addition, experiential models for competence development at the operational, tactical and strategic levels of crisis response will be presented and discussed.
The symposium is being organised as part of the 'Learning for security' (L4S) project. Funded under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), L4S focuses on collaboration challenges arising in crisis situations and in particular in scenarios related to sea and air transportFor further information, please visit: http://www.iscm2011.eu/(opens in new window)
