A workshop on planning and scheduling for space will take place from 8 to 10 June 2011 in Freiburg, Germany.

Over the past few years, advanced planning and scheduling solutions have successfully found their application into a number of mission ground systems as well as onto spacecrafts.

In each case, the deployment has considered flight project needs including cost reduction, increased science returns, and enabling new types of scientific observations. Nevertheless, there are calls for a faster infusion process. These are driven by the need for planning and scheduling technologies to support an increasingly large and complex suite of missions.

Topics set to be covered during the workshop include:
- recent advances in planning and scheduling and plan execution;
- operational challenges of space applications;
- issues in deployment;
- operational experiences and lessons learnt.For further information, please visit: http://www.congrexprojects.com/11c05/(opens in new window)
